Succulents

You have to be living under a rock to not notice the succulent trend this summer and I’ve decided to join in!

My mom talked me out of getting rid this glass container and suggested I use it for succulents. As always … it was the best idea.

I found my succulents and pebbles at Home Depot but I then found out Lowes has a better selection, so if I were you I would go there first.

Naturally I had to google what to even do with these pretties. I found this great article from Southern Living.

1.) Fill a wide, shallow dish three-quarters full with potting mix; cover the top with gravel.

2.) Blend them thoroughly, and then moisten with water.

3.) Remove plants from their nursery containers, and plant the largest one on one side of the pot. Surround it with the other plants, clustering similar shapes together.

4.) Sprinkle dark-colored aquarium gravel around each plant so the soil is covered.

It’s currently living on the kitchen island and I love it!
